Job Title: Compliance Officer for Legal Practice

Johnson Law Group is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Officer for Legal Practice to join its team based in Manchester.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified solicitor with at least 6 years of PQE experience to take on the role of COLP. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the firm's compliance with the SRA's regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the firm's compliance with the SRA's regulatory requirements, including client complaints, KYC and money laundering procedures, and firm-wide risk assessments.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance of the firm's regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing SRA authorisation.
  • Devising and implementing internal compliance failure reporting processes.
  • Providing comprehensive reporting to the Management Team on compliance matters.
  • Delivering presentations to staff on compliance and client-facing quality of service.
Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor with at least 6 years of PQE experience.
  • Experience in a compliance role working in a legal practice dealing with client complaints, KYC and money laundering procedures, and firm-wide risk assessments.
  • Strong understanding of the SRA's regulatory requirements and compliance procedures.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience working as or alongside a COFA.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000-£65,000 per annum and a dynamic work environment.
