About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Architect to join our team at Lead Careers. As a key member of our multidisciplinary consultancy, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs), developing detailed landscape designs and proposals, and conducting site surveys and visual impact analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of LVIAs, ensuring high-quality technical reports and visualisations.
  • Develop and implement detailed landscape designs and proposals, balancing development needs with environmental and visual sensitivity.
  • Conduct site surveys, landscape character assessments, and visual impact analysis to inform design decisions and LVIA reporting.
  • Produce high-quality technical reports, visualisations, and supporting documents for planning applications and consultations.
  • Advise clients and project teams on the landscape and visual implications of developments, providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, ecologists, and engineers, to deliver sustainable and high-quality landscape designs.
  • Client liaison and business development activities.
Requirements
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • Extensive experience in delivering LVIAs across various sectors.
  • Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or working towards chartership.
  • Proven experience in managing and preparing LVIAs, with proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS.
  • Excellent report-writing skills, strong project management skills, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A comprehensive understanding of UK planning processes and environmental legislation.
  • A full UK driving licence.
