Key Responsibilities:- Recruitment Lead:
- Drive the end-to-end recruitment process, working closely with line managers to ensure all job descriptions and job advert templates are current and standardized.
- Collaborate with line managers to write and upload recruitment requests onto the Civil Services Jobs online platform.
- Be the point of contact for the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), including uploading new vacancies onto the CTP website to reach those leaving the armed forces.
- Assist line managers with the sift and interview process.
- Liaise directly with Defence Business Services (DBS) recruiting & onboarding teams.
- Partner with line managers to ensure effective onboarding and integration of new employees.
- Collaborate with Higher Management Group (HMG) and line managers to identify workforce needs and develop strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.
- Strategic Workforce Planning (SWfP):
- Lead the development of a workforce model for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation's workforce.
- Review and maintain the accuracy of existing workforce models used by the HMG to assist in forecasting future resourcing requirements.
- Assess existing and alternative workforce models, exploring opportunities to improve or introduce new models, as applicable.
- Work with AH Business Services and DH Business Services to provide SWfP advice and influence at business and directorate level, supporting organizational change activity and providing insights to support decisions.
- Develop strong links with Workforce Planning leads across the Security Directorate to ensure that this work is aligned with similar work already being undertaken.
- Management Information:
- Regularly maintain and communicate business information, including:
- Mandatory training.
- Nominal roll.
- Organisational charts (using MS Visio).
- Ad hoc reports as required, such as annual report completions, annual leave balances, and absence-related information.
- Input to monthly Customer Delivery Committee (CDC) return.
- Input to monthly Security Directorate Senior Leaders Team (SLT) slide deck.
- Workforce Support:
- Understand MoD CivHR principles and practices, as well as the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Be the business point of contact with Defence Infrastructure Organisation's HR Business Partner (HRBP) for day-to-day workforce issues and enquiries.
- Partner with line managers to address employee issues and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Lead for Defence Infrastructure Organisation's Market Skills Allowance (MSA) annual review with HRBP.
- Lead for responsibility allowances tracker and Finance reviews.
- Member and secretary for Defence Infrastructure Organisation's HR Working Group.
