As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing NOV's procurement strategy, ensuring that the acquisition of goods and services aligns seamlessly with our overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and Evaluating Suppliers

You will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and alignment with NOV objectives.

Developing and Implementing Procurement Strategies

You will develop and implement strategies to optimize supplier selection and mitigate risks.

Monitoring Market Trends and Supplier Capabilities

You will monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to identify improvement opportunities.

Negotiating with Suppliers

You will negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing and contracts.

Maintaining Strong Supplier Relationships

You will maintain strong supplier relationships to foster collaboration and long-term value.

Driving Cost Reduction

You will drive cost reduction through negotiation, supplier consolidation, and value engineering.

Monitoring Supplier Performance

You will monitor supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as quality, delivery, and service.

Implementing Performance Improvement Initiatives

You will implement performance improvement initiatives and proactively address issues.

Collaborating with Internal Stakeholders

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with business objectives.

Providing Strategic Guidance

You will provide strategic guidance for procurement and supplier management decisions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

You must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related field.

Experience Working with Suppliers

You must have experience working with suppliers, including liaising for price lists, call-offs, negotiating prices, contracts, and identifying alternative vendors.

Strategic Sourcing Experience

Preferred experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, machining, and/or hydraulics.

Negotiation Skills

You must have strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities

You must have analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.

Supplier Relationship Management

You must be proficient in supplier relationships and performance evaluation.
