Job Description

As a key member of our team at Change Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Lead to join our organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement activities across the company, driving procurement excellence and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The role will involve managing procurement processes, developing and maintaining the Contracts Register, and producing regular reports on procurement activities for our Executive Team and Audit & Risk Committee.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to drive business excellence
  • Manage procurement processes and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
  • Develop and maintain the Contracts Register and manage the procurement pipeline
  • Produce regular reports on procurement activities for senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Work with outsourced service providers to ensure procurements are undertaken in accordance with procurement policy and relevant regulations

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in managing procurement within the public sector
  • Strong background in procurement, including contract lifecycle management
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders
