Railway Security Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Railway Enforcement Officer (REO). As an REO, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and safety of our passengers and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular patrols on trains and stations to detect and prevent crime, anti-social behaviour, and fare evasion.
- Issue penalty fares and undertake minor crime investigations, including seizing and preserving evidence and taking crime reports and statements.
- Participate in large-scale ticket checking operations at stations and reduce crime through effective enforcement.
- Deal with anti-social behaviour and ensure the security of our passengers on the network.
- Comply with all company standards and guidelines at all times.
As an REO, you will be enrolled in the Passenger Services Apprenticeship Programme, leading to a nationally recognised qualification. You will receive full vocational training, including functional skills, as well as training in physical intervention to ensure you have the skills, experience, and knowledge required for the role.
About SoutheasternSoutheastern operates train services into London from Kent and East Sussex, serving 176 stations and covering 540 miles of track. We carry over 400,000 passengers a day and operate almost 1,700 trains daily.
