About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our aircraft fleet. Key responsibilities include:
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of performance.
- Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of our aircraft fleet.
- Supply Chain Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary spares and equipment.
- Performance Management: Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Investigations and Troubleshooting: Investigate maintenance delays and implement strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Manpower Planning and Recruitment: Oversee manpower planning and recruitment to ensure the right skills and expertise are in place to meet operational needs.
- Budgeting: Manage budgets to ensure effective resource allocation and optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Managerial Experience: Proven experience in managing small international teams in a highly task-driven environment.
- Aviation or Engineering Background: Previous experience in aviation or engineering, with a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance and operations.
- Operational Experience: Fast-moving operational experience in engineering, production, or processing.
- Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and travel when required.
- Computer Literacy: Full computer literacy with experience of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).
- Language Skills: Fluent English.
- Right to Work in the UK: Must hold the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving license.
