About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, providing specialist mental healthcare to offenders in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist mental healthcare to offenders, working as part of the Mental Health In-Reach Team and wider mental health services.
  • Conduct robust assessments, screenings, and interventions to offenders with complex mental health needs, including those with learning disabilities.
  • Contribute to alternatives to inpatient admission and assist with early discharge through high-intensity interventions and complex case management arrangements.
  • Work closely with community mental health teams to ensure continuity of care and sharing of information.
