About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our team at St John's Hospice, a Sue Ryder hospice in Bedfordshire. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, specialist end-of-life care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the agreed care plan to support individuals in their daily lives
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Assist with medication administration, domestic duties, and mobility support
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful environment, adhering to infection prevention and control guidelines
Requirements
  • NVQ and/or QCF Level 2 qualification (desirable)
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word, the internet, and email
  • Excellent communication and empathetic skills
