About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Officer to join our team at McCain Foods. As a Technical Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, organize, and control documentation in the Food Safety & Quality Manual
  • Be an active member of the site HACCP Team
  • Be an integral member of the site Crisis Management Team, supporting the site in EWE's and traceability challenges
  • Organize equipment calibration and servicing in accordance with site compliance
  • Support the Hygiene Manager in maintaining the site chemical register
  • Organize and manage the site BRC internal audit program
  • Complete internal audits, compile audit reports, identify corrective actions, and close out of non-conformances
  • Provide support to the Technical Controller when reviewing third-party audit standards and compiling gap analysis
  • Act as a key team member in hosting, presenting, and providing information during third-party audits and internal assessments
  • Collate, monitor, and trend environmental, finished product, allergen, and water results
About You
  • Working to deadlines
  • Working within a customer-facing manufacturing environment
  • Working with people from a range of different backgrounds
  • Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Working knowledge of stock/warehouse management systems
  • Food Safety and HACCP Level 2
  • Good organization skills and knows how to prioritize
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
