About the Role:

This is a challenging position in a fast-paced environment. As a Management Accountant Trainee at TQR Consultancy Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and review financial performance reports, including month-end P&L and Balance Sheet, and provide commentary on variances against budget.
  2. Partner with key teams throughout the wider business to drive commercial decision-making.
  3. Review and challenge monthly accruals for the wider business.
  4. Owning and challenging the output of the Overheads team.
  5. Oversee sales ledger processes and manual payment processes.
  6. Monitor revenue tracking processes for online and store operations.
  7. Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly regulatory returns (VAT, ONS, Intrastat).
  8. Assist with year-end audit.
  9. Perform other tasks as required.

Person Specification:

This role requires a dynamic individual with:

  1. Experience in a commercial organization.
  2. Experience preparing management accounts with commentary.
  3. Strong Excel skills, with experience of financial modeling (desirable).
  4. Professional qualification desirable (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar).
  5. Strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  7. The confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements.
