About the Position:

Teaching Personnel is on the lookout for a dynamic and committed Special Educational Needs Class Instructor to become part of our dedicated team. This position presents a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children and young individuals with diverse special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

As a Special Educational Needs Class Instructor, you will adopt a creative and student-focused methodology to teaching, ensuring that the educational requirements of each child are addressed in a manner that enhances their success and personal growth. With the support of a committed team and the extensive resources of Outcomes First Group, you will concentrate on what truly matters: crafting engaging learning experiences that empower students with varied and complex needs to flourish.

Key Duties:

  • Implement the school curriculum in an innovative and effective manner, customizing lessons to cater to the diverse needs of students with SEND.
  • Create a supportive and nurturing classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, heard, and engaged in their educational journey.
  • Collaborate with Class Teams, Pastoral Teams, and Therapists to develop individualized learning plans that meet both educational and therapeutic objectives.
  • Adopt a therapeutic, trauma-informed educational approach, assisting students who may have faced difficulties in previous educational environments.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the school's curriculum and teaching methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on safeguarding, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

What We Seek:

  • A degree and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience across various teaching methodologies.
  • A creative, resilient, and composed teaching style, with a commitment to helping every student realize their potential.
  • Experience in an SEN/ASC setting is preferred, though exceptional teaching abilities and the right personal attributes are equally valued.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a cooperative environment and appreciates the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences.

All pay rates mentioned will include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This position is temporary, with the potential for a permanent role in the future.
