Alexander Steele Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to partner with an exceptional food business that supplies a range of quality, luxury products into major UK retailers.
Due to growth, the business is looking to appoint a Technical Support Specialist at their site in a Bedfordshire-based facility.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with key customers and be the main point of contact for any technical queries or enquiries.
- Work cross-functionally with the quality, commercial, procurement, NPD, and operations teams to ensure that the company's quality standards are upheld.
- Be confident using QMS daily.
- Creation of weekly KPI reports.
- Specification, artwork, and label approval.
- Visit suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Support and take part in technical projects.
- Ensure customer portals and systems are up to date and maintained.
**Requirements:**
- Hold a degree in Food Technology/Science or recognised food safety qualifications.
- Experience working in a food manufacturing environment - Minimum of 2 years.
- Good working knowledge of Food Safety Systems is desirable.
- Knowledge of the UK food industry and legislation is essential.
- Has HACCP knowledge and other appropriate professional qualifications.
- Be able to multi-task and work well under pressure against tight deadlines.
- Be analytical, interpersonal, and the ability to influence others at all levels effectively.
- Numerate, literate with intermediate IT Skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
**What We Offer:**
- Salary is £30,000 to £35,000 DOE.
