Alexander Steele Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to partner with an exceptional food business that supplies a range of quality, luxury products into major UK retailers.

Due to growth, the business is looking to appoint a Technical Support Specialist at their site in a Bedfordshire-based facility.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with key customers and be the main point of contact for any technical queries or enquiries.
  • Work cross-functionally with the quality, commercial, procurement, NPD, and operations teams to ensure that the company's quality standards are upheld.
  • Be confident using QMS daily.
  • Creation of weekly KPI reports.
  • Specification, artwork, and label approval.
  • Visit suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support and take part in technical projects.
  • Ensure customer portals and systems are up to date and maintained.

**Requirements:**

  • Hold a degree in Food Technology/Science or recognised food safety qualifications.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment - Minimum of 2 years.
  • Good working knowledge of Food Safety Systems is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the UK food industry and legislation is essential.
  • Has HACCP knowledge and other appropriate professional qualifications.
  • Be able to multi-task and work well under pressure against tight deadlines.
  • Be analytical, interpersonal, and the ability to influence others at all levels effectively.
  • Numerate, literate with intermediate IT Skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

**What We Offer:**

  • Salary is £30,000 to £35,000 DOE.
