About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our community mental health teams. As a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will work under supervision to develop your skills and knowledge in assessing, investigating, diagnosing, planning, implementing, managing, and evaluating care for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice as a trainee ANP using collaborative and independent judgment to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement, manage, and evaluate care for patients.
  • Plan and manage complete episodes of care, working in collaboration with senior medical colleagues and others when required.
  • Be responsible for the rapid assessment, diagnostics, and treatment of individuals within the Mental Health Community Service.
  • Work in partnership with individuals, families, and carers, using a range of assessment methods as appropriate.
  • Initiate, evaluate, and modify a range of interventions.
  • Exercise professional judgement to assess and manage risk appropriately.
Person Specification
  • Membership of relevant Professional Body - Registered Mental Health Nurse, Non-Medical prescribing course.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Relevant Master's Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Experience
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent experience, proven leadership and management experience with Community Mental Health.
