Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation and Presentation: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food to the highest standards, ensuring that all dishes meet the hotel's quality and presentation expectations.
  • Kitchen Operations: Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they meet the hotel's standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food and beverages meet the hotel's quality and presentation expectations.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed, including HACCP procedures and implementation.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a high-quality hotel or restaurant.
  • Qualifications: A culinary qualification, such as a City & Guilds or NVQ in culinary arts.
  • Skills: Excellent culinary skills, including cooking, presentation, and plating. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train junior staff.
