The Aggregates Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth and customer satisfaction at our Brechin Quarry. This role requires a strong understanding of the aggregate industry and excellent communication skills to build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Provide product information and demonstrations to customers
  • Estimate and quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery rates
  • Prepare and oversee the preparation of sales contracts
  • Consult with customers after sale and signed contracts to resolve issues and provide ongoing support
  • Review and adapt information regarding product specifications, competitors, and market realities
  • Accounting: Follows, tracks, oversees customer accounts, including interaction with AR
  • Ensure quality products are delivered on time to customers
  • Responsible for setting up contracts in SAP
  • Back up scale attendant short-term when required
  • Professional, motivated, self-starter who takes pride in being successful
  • Leading and coordinating aspects of dock operations, including overseeing staff performance and ensuring efficient workflow at various locations

Education and Experience:

  • MS Office skills and experience with CRM (ideally Salesforce.com)
  • A university degree or college diploma in a related field
  • 5+ years experience in sales or in an occupation related to the industry
  • Background in Aggregates required
  • Previous supervision experience is an asset
  • Quality Control experience would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce
  • Knowledge of the Aggregate trucking industry

Working Conditions and Requirements:

  • Varies from office environment to customer offices and construction sites. Work will require occasional weekend and/or evenings.
