Job Title: Science Teacher

Location: Durham

Contract Type: Long term temporary

Leader Education is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Durham. The ideal candidate will have deep subject expertise and a genuine passion for teaching.

This 11-18 school prides itself on creating a progressive and forward-thinking environment, making this a great location for a Science Teacher to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the curriculum effectively, offering support, advice, and guidance to pupils.
  • Have qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Have a current DBS that is on the update system, or a willingness to obtain one.
  • Have previous experience as a Science teacher.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be adaptable and have initiative to accommodate for various learning types and abilities, striving towards social and academic development.
  • Have high expectations and aspirations for young people and themselves.
