Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Salary: £25,000 - £39,000 per annum

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands

Contract: Full time, Permanent

Job Summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our team at an academy in Birmingham. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that students engage in the learning activity and behave well.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students engage in the learning activity and behave well.
  • Provide instructions for lessons as provided by teachers, responding to students' general questions and providing feedback to teachers on broad issues such as behavior.
  • Work under the professional guidance of teachers, subject to general supervision.
Requirements
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification relevant to the post.
  • At least a GCSE 4-9 in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Willingness to undertake further training as required.
  • Experience of working within a classroom.
  • Experience of working with challenging young people and a commitment to their improvement.
