Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Safety Case Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations within our operations. This position is crucial for supporting our commitment to sustainable practices in the nuclear sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental Assessments: Deliver, implement, and maintain comprehensive environmental assessments to support operational needs.
  • Design Authority Representation: Act as the representative for design authority, ensuring environmental aspects are integrated into safety cases.
  • Safety Case Governance: Serve as the agent for the Safety Case Owner, facilitating environmental justifications through established governance processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to inform updates and revisions to the safety case framework.
  • Change Management: Provide expert input and guidance on change management proposals and support business improvements.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain an expert understanding of the UK regulatory framework and its implications for licensees.
Qualifications
  • Degree in a Science or Technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in the nuclear industry or high hazard environments.
  • Expertise in preparing and reviewing environmental safety assessments.
  • Strong understanding of the UK Environmental Regulatory Framework.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills in both technical and commercial contexts.
  • Experience in environmental management within high hazard industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities.
