Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Career Teachers. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs**: Work alongside the class teacher and other members of staff to maintain a meaningful, supporting, and secure learning environment.
  • **Delivering Small Group/1:1 Intervention**: Deliver small group or 1:1 intervention to support students with their learning and development.
  • **Classroom Team Member**: Be part of a classroom team, under the direction of the class teacher and/or learning mentors, to support students with their personal and behavioral development.

Requirements

  • **Team Teach Qualification or Positive Handling Experience**: Hold a Team Teach qualification or have other positive handling experience.
  • **Enhanced DBS**: Have an up-to-date Enhanced DBS, preferably on the update service.
  • **Positive, Dedicated, and Resilient**: Be positive, dedicated, and resilient, as this role can be challenging but also highly rewarding.
  • **Excellent Verbal and Written Skills**: Have excellent verbal and written skills to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
  • **Calm, Patient, and Positive Approach**: Have a calm, patient, and positive approach to your work and the ability to communicate well on all levels.
