Job Title: Accident and Emergency Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team in the Diagnostic Imaging Department at Maidstone Hospital. As a Band 6 Interventional Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe and quality care to patients undergoing interventional procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with multidisciplinary teams
  • Contribute to the development of clinical skills and knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • 1st level registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Preparing Facilitator of Practice Based Learning and Assessment or ENB 998 equivalent
  • BLS/ ILS
  • ENB R50 or equivalent
  • ENB N10 or equivalent
  • ALS
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Understanding of the nurse's role and responsibilities in patient assessment and management
  • Current Trust Mandatory Training
  • Cannulation
  • IV drug administration
  • Experience in cardiac nursing/CCU/ITU/A&E
  • Understanding of and adherence to IR(ME)R 2017 and Local Rules
  • Training and experience in radiology nursing
Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, working between 08:00 - 18:00 Monday to Friday, with flexibility within these hours required. The successful candidate will be expected to work 75% of their time in Interventional Radiography.
