Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research and Development Technician to join our team at McCormick & Company. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for conducting research and development activities to support the creation of new and innovative flavor products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to develop new flavor compounds and products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Develop and maintain laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations and analyze data to inform product development decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers to source new ingredients and technologies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry, biochemistry, food science).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a research and development role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and data.
