Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at SkillsHouse Bradford. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a Folding & Gluing machine, setting up the machine to support various size board products, and monitoring machine running speeds to maintain efficiency.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate a Folding & Gluing machine to produce high-quality board products.
- Set up the machine to accommodate different size board products, adjusting rails and frames to ensure accurate folding and gluing.
- Monitor machine running speeds to maintain efficiency and achieve targets.
- Report any issues with the machine to the Team Leader and design team to resolve and prevent sending poor-quality products to customers.
- Perform weekly routine maintenance, cleaning the machine to maintain high BRC standards and working with the engineering team to grease and replace worn parts.
- Learn and operate other process lines and machines, such as Die Cutters, Laminators, and Printers, as part of the company's training and development plans.
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail is essential.
- Machine operating experience is required.
- A team player with a willingness to help others.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Desirable requirements include experience within the packaging industry, Die Cutting operating experience, and Forklift driving experience.
