Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Priory Group. As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and treatment to adolescents with mental health difficulties.

About the Role

As an inpatient CAMHS Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Clinical Leadership: Providing clinical leadership and expertise to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe and effective service delivery.
  • Patient Care: Taking overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans, including assessment and management of cases.
  • MDT Meetings: Chairing MDT/CPA meetings and adhering to organizational admission and discharge policies.
  • Reporting: Preparing and supervising reports for Mental Health Act Review Tribunals & Managers Hearings.
  • Unit Governance: Contributing to unit governance through expertise and leadership.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • MBBS or equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych.
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
  • Registration on the specialist register with CAMHS CCT/CESR, along with valid AC Status.
  • Experience and knowledge in CAMHS.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, as well as the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practice.
  • Commitment to continued professional development.
