Job Title: Civil Engineer (Nuclear Sector)

Location: Remote with site visits required once a month

Contract Length: 12 Months

Rate: £46.72 per hour (Inside IR35)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to contribute to high-impact projects in the nuclear sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on significant projects, primarily remotely with occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage civil engineering tasks, particularly in a marine environment.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of ducts and networks for infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct swept path analysis to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and equipment on-site.
  • Develop and maintain roads and hardstandings to support site operations.
  • Design and construct miscellaneous foundations such as lighting, bollards, and other site infrastructure.
  • Manage marine remedial civil repairs to maintain the integrity of structures in marine settings.
  • Oversee the management of sub-contractors and consultants to ensure project milestones are met.

Required Experience:

  • Strong background in Civil Engineering, with a preference for experience in marine environments.
  • Proven experience in ducts and networks, swept path analysis, roads & hardstandings, and miscellaneous foundations.
  • Experience with marine remedial civil repairs is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sub-contractors and consultants effectively.

Security Requirements:

  • Must be a Sole British National eligible for SC (Security Clearance).
