Corrigenda is seeking a motivated and skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our Portsmouth office. The ideal candidate will oversee all financial and contractual elements of our projects, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate closely with senior management and report to the Commercial Manager.
- Prepare monthly financial applications and reports.
- Manage the financial and technical aspects of contracts, including procurement, invoicing, payments, cash flow, and cost control.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive quotations.
- Optimize costs while maximizing value to enhance profitability.
- Draft high-quality quotation letters and verify accuracy in pricing and quantities.
- Evaluate costs and provide recommendations on alternative proposals.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Conduct job cost reporting from initiation to completion.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently or collaboratively.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Full UK driving license.
- Methodical and analytical mindset.
