About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP Project Director to join our team. As a key member of our MEP services delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of MEP services on large and complex projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, meeting client expectations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of logic-linked programmes, preconstruction, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and implement project health and safety strategies, ensuring compliance with Mace processes and project strategies.
- Manage and coordinate the procurement of sub-subcontractor packages, ensuring alignment with business and project strategies.
- Coordinate the monitoring and auditing of installation works to ensure compliance with project strategies and construction status drawings.
- Develop and implement commissioning strategies, managing close-out items for packages, and coordinating the management and close-out of commissionability reports.
- Lead attendance at commissioning meetings, ensuring a detailed understanding of programme, issues, and resolutions.
- Coordinate the production of detailed engineering reviews at preconstruction, ensuring design alignment throughout drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Implement value engineering and coordinate the management of design for sub-subcontractor packages, ensuring compliance with employer requirements, project strategies, regulations, and best practice.
Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of mechanical or electrical installation techniques, best practice, and single system and integrated critical path commissioning requirements.
- Detailed knowledge of construction build elements, including sequencing and dependencies.
- Ability to lead and manage project teams on large and complex projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others towards a desired course of action.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- CSCS Management Card and SMSTS certification.
- Completion of a trade or technical apprenticeship within the building services bias, achieving a BTEC Level 3/HNC and NVQ or equivalent.
