We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Nurse (Band 7) to become a vital part of our Surgical Inpatients team at London Bridge Hospital.

London Bridge Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility, designed to provide exceptional healthcare services across various specialties.

Our institution is equipped with advanced clinical infrastructure and a team of highly qualified professionals, committed to delivering comprehensive care across a wide range of medical specialties, including Cardiology, Oncology, and Complex Surgical procedures.

This position presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse with a strong background in General Surgery to play a key role in enhancing patient care standards within our organization.

The surgical unit comprises 12 beds catering to a diverse array of surgical specialties, including Gastrointestinal, Gynecological, Orthopedic, Breast, Spinal, and Hepatic surgeries.

This role is both rewarding and demanding; it requires not only expertise in managing a specialized patient demographic but also a commitment to evidence-based practices.

The Lead Nurse will collaborate closely with the unit manager and matron to uphold high standards of nursing practice, aligning with the organization's mission, vision, and national healthcare guidelines.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a surgical inpatient environment
  • Background in staff education and training related to General Surgery
  • Valid nursing registration (First Level) with the Nursing & Midwifery Council
  • Willingness to pursue relevant post-registration education
  • ILS provider course completion required upon hire or within three months of employment
  • Leadership experience in managing a nursing team
