Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team at EslingKenny in West London. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing Business Partners' accounts, chasing debts, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Incoming Payments: Accurately process and record incoming payments from Business Partners.
  • Maximize Cash Collection: Proactively work to maximize cash collection and ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved.
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable Ledger: Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Prepare and Send Statements: Prepare and send statements of account to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Resolve Customer Disputes: Work with the Sales and Operations team to resolve customer disputes promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and Maintain AR Mailbox: Monitor and maintain the AR mailbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries and internal communications.
  • Record Promotional and Marketing Expenses: Record and update promotional and marketing expenses in the accounting system.
  • Access and Manage Customer Portals: Access and manage customer portals to help reconcile data on SAP.
  • Maintain and Update Customer Records: Maintain and update customer records in the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide Support to Finance Team: Provide support to the finance team as needed.
Candidate Profile/Requirements:
  • Experience: Ideally 2 years' experience within a similar role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the retail sector would be beneficial.
  • Accounting Principles: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Commercial Awareness: Excellent commercial awareness and knowledge.
  • Excel Skills: Intermediate Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, xlookup, and conditional formatting.
Working Arrangements:
  • Working Hours: Flexible working hours, with a start time between 8:30am-9:30am.
  • Location: Based in our West London office, 3 days a week.
