Family Contact Worker

Belmont Recruitment is seeking an experienced Family Contact Worker to collaborate with a Staffordshire-based Local Authority on a temporary basis.

This is a full-time role requiring 37 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will be expected to be available outside of traditional working hours to provide support when needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate family time arrangements for children and their parents or other family members as directed by court.
  • Provide transportation for children and young people to attend family time when required.
  • Facilitate therapeutic family time between children and their families, offering support to children and families.
  • Offer parenting support and guidance to parents during family time.
  • Support the completion of accurate documentation, reports, and records related to children, young people, and families.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ3 standard in working with children and their families or equivalent.
  • Full UK driver's license with access to a personal vehicle.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Experience in direct work with children, their families, and carers, providing services to vulnerable children and families.
  • Understanding of key policies, guidelines, and legislation governing children's social care.
