Role: Residential Care Worker (Part Time)

Location: Stoke on Trent

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team at DMD Recruitment LTD. As a Residential Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 care to children and young people with complex emotional and social needs.

About the Role:

  • Deliver high-quality care, addressing the physical, emotional, and social needs of children and young people.
  • Build positive relationships, support during emergencies, and maintain a safe, clean living environment.
  • Draft, update, and follow care plans, administer medication, and ensure access to healthcare.
  • Arrange and attend appointments, transport children, and encourage community involvement.
  • Liaise with families, professionals, and agencies, advocating for the children's needs.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21+ and pass a DBS check due to safeguarding responsibilities
  • Hold a driver's license with access to own vehicle
  • Willingness to work towards Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent, if not already completed
  • Willingness to undertake further training.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable children and their families.
  • Ability to establish good working relationships with children and young people based on respect and openness
