Your Role and Responsibilities

In the capacity of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role within our commercial division, taking charge of significant projects. Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing insights on the financial viability of projects during initial phases.
  • Assisting in Stage 2 tenders by developing cost plans, business cases, and securing sub-contract supply chains.
  • Structuring projects into manageable work packages for procurement, evaluating returns, negotiating with sub-contractors to ensure optimal value, and assigning work packages accordingly.
  • Overseeing project management in accordance with NEC / JCT contracts, ensuring all risks are identified and mitigated while maximizing commercial opportunities.
  • Monitoring project cash flow, evaluating actual expenditures against budgeted amounts through Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports.

  • Extensive experience with large 2-stage bids in a Tier 1 contractor environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC and JCT contract conditions.
  • A proven history as a commercial lead on high-value construction projects.

  • Expertise in producing comprehensive commercial reports.
