About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Woodfield School. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism and associated speech & language, social communication and behavioural difficulties.

Your primary responsibility will be to create a learning culture and experience for pupils who find it challenging to engage with a full programme of onsite learning. You will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis to re-engage them with onsite learning, and collaborate with the SENCo and Curriculum Deputy to target and agree a programme of support and intervention for students, both on and off-site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies for self-managing behaviour in all settings
  • Support pupils to become happy, safe and confident members of the community
  • Contribute to the Pastoral Team at our school
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve our aims
