Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure a clean, safe, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Undertake general maintenance tasks such as repairing equipment, fixtures, and fittings to ensure the efficient running of the school.
  • Manage security systems and ensure they are functioning correctly, including monitoring CCTV cameras, and performing lock-up procedures.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including gardening, landscaping, and snow removal.
  • Assist with the setup and cleanup of school events and activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role is preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, students, and external contractors.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
