We are a leading name in the recycling and reprocessing industry, committed to sustainability and innovation. As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Leeds.
Your Role:- Maintain plant and equipment, offering recommendations for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager on mechanical and electrical equipment issues or production-related concerns.
- Act as the first point of contact for on-site repairs and maintenance, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Carry out routine maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Oversee external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project quality.
- Assist with the planning, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the workshop and across the site.
- Provide maintenance support to other sites when necessary.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Fabrication experience, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence (training available).
- Experience supervising or managing contractors.
- Familiarity with Health and Safety Legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
