About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at Naughtone Ltd. in Harrogate. As a key member of our Design and Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and sustainability in our product development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal and external design partners to develop and engineer new products, ensuring they meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Design and develop 3D models using Inventor, creating detailed drawings and rendered images as required.
  • Drive the development of new products in overseas manufacturing locations, ensuring smooth transitions into production.
  • Manage projects to budget and schedule, working closely with manufacturers and internal staff to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Provide engineering support to our quality team, contributing to continuous improvements in production processes.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree, HNC, or apprenticeship in engineering or manufacturing, with experience in furniture design and development an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of industry experience, with a strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes related to furniture production.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, and Adobe Creative Suite, with Revit and 3D Studio Max a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
