About the RoleAs an Underwriting Assistant, you will support senior underwriting staff in servicing existing clients and growing the portfolio. You will be responsible for calculating premiums, reviewing renewals, analysing data and trends, dealing with broker enquiries, and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate premiums to ensure profitability and competitiveness of accounts
- Review renewals and analyse data and trends
- Deal with broker enquiries and manage relationships with stakeholders
- Support senior underwriting staff in servicing existing clients and growing the portfolio
To be successful in this role, you will need to be detail-orientated with good numeracy skills and comfortable using Microsoft Excel. Previous experience in the insurance industry is required, although you do not need to have previous underwriting experience. We will consider talented candidates from broking, claims or underwriting who are keen to enhance their professional development within a top firm.
What We OfferAston Charles Ltd offers a hybrid-working environment, allowing you to work from home a couple of days a week. You will be rewarded with a basic salary ranging from £25K - £33K (Negotiable, depending on experience) plus a range of company benefits.
