To support the Underwriting Manager and Portfolio Director with underwriting expertise, helping to build, analyze, and review underwriting plans. This involves liaising regularly between insurers and the Managing General Agent (MGA) to develop underwriting strategies specific to binders and insurers. The role also involves developing and monitoring best practice underwriting standards across the business.

Key responsibilities include attending insurer meetings, both formal and ad-hoc, and providing inputs to those meetings as required. Working closely with the MGA, the successful candidate will implement agreed underwriting and pricing strategies. Data analysis and interpretation are also key aspects of the role, with a focus on providing key findings and recommendations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as the ability to analyze data and trends, drawing conclusions from key data sets. As part of the Q Underwriting team, the successful candidate will work closely with business teams and technical managers to understand performance issues and provide impact analysis of proposed portfolio changes.

Additional responsibilities include modeling and presenting ad-hoc data for capacity partners and supporting the selection and securing of new capacity partners. The role also involves supporting proposition development and implementation for both new and existing binders.
