About the Role

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Physician in Acute and General Medicine to join our team at Newham University Hospital. This is a 12-month fixed-term post, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in Acute and General Medicine, with the option to develop a Specialty Interest
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of new models of working and services that support patients attending the hospital
  • Participate in teaching and training of medical students and junior staff

Person Specification

  • MRCP or equivalent Specialist qualification
  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice
  • Current ALS certificate
  • Higher specialist training in Specialty Interest and General Internal Medicine or Acute Medicine
  • Broad experience in Specialty and GIM/Acute Medicine
