Position: Senior Financial Manager
Location: Rugby, CV21
Salary: Up to £70,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Working Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 08:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Role Overview:
The Senior Financial Manager oversees the financial activities of the organization, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This position guarantees the accuracy of financial documents, adherence to regulations, and the overall financial well-being of the company, while also influencing the financial strategy and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual statutory financial statements and coordinate audits along with UK Corporation Tax submissions.
- Generate quarterly management accounts with insightful analysis and commentary.
- Compile annual R&D tax claims, budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintain the fixed assets register and validate accounts payable.
- Reconcile balance sheets and manage general ledger accruals and prepayments.
- Provide information for company insurance and complete government statistical surveys.
- Collaborate with Companies House and assist external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with financial legislation and provide financial guidance to the Board.
- Deliver financial data for strategic decision-making and work on cost management initiatives.
- Support the Finance Director and supervise a small finance team.
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Preferred degree-level education.
- Experience in VAT and Corporation Tax reporting.
- Proficient in SAGE Accounting Software and MS Excel.
- Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
- High integrity, reliability, and a results-driven mindset.
