About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Stockport Homes Group. As a key member of our construction and trading business, you will play a crucial role in delivering commercial success and cost control on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective commercial delivery and cost control of projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage supply chain procurement, tendering, and estimating processes.
  • Prepare and manage monthly project cost value reconciliations and cashflow reports.
  • Offer commercial expertise to the construction management team to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
  • Implement value engineering solutions and strategies to optimize profit and efficiency for the business.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, preferably in Local Authority Housing and refurbishment.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience in Contract Administration and financial planning and budget management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Registered training programme or recognized qualification in Quantity Surveying, preferably at degree or MRICS level.
  • Ability to adapt to differing workloads and different work streams.
  • Experience and knowledge to prepare estimates and tender documents for submission.
  • Capability to work to monthly deadlines for completion of interim payment applications.
