Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Operative to join our team at Simon Hegele. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods passing through our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe Handling and Storage: Ensure the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, avoiding damage to persons, stock, or equipment.
  • Inventory Management: Deliver items against paperwork to ensure correct items have been delivered in the correct quantity and without damage.
  • Booking and Scanning: Book in items using both Helis and SAP, ensuring KPIs are met, and locate items safely in the warehouse or factory.
  • Picking and Packing: Pick items as directed, in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring utmost care is taken to pick the correct item, required scanning activity is carried out, and no damage occurs.
  • Collection and Delivery: Collect items from neighboring customers and deliver to and collect from the factory line, ensuring correct paperwork is attached and KPIs are met.
  • Stocktaking and Maintenance: Participate in stocktaking activities as directed and maintain a clean and tidy work place utilizing 5S principles.
  • Communication and Administration: Ensure relevant information is passed to the Line Managers so that non-routine duties can be charged to the customer, and maintain effective communication with the Line Managers and Supply Chain team.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Attend courses or seminars to improve performance of duties, if applicable.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the Senior Management team.
  • Aviation Security: Maintain a level of awareness required for Aviation Security.

Requirements
  • Language Skills: A good command of the English language, both written and oral.
  • Certifications: Forklift truck Certificate, both counterbalance and reach truck.
  • Experience: Proven experience of high-tech warehousing in support of a production facility in a Quality Management environment.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills.

  • Indoor Crane Experience: Indoor crane use experience.
