Job SummaryWe are seeking a Lead Property Claims Team Manager to oversee and guide a team of claims handlers and support staff in the efficient and effective handling of property claims. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and will be responsible for:
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of claims handlers to meet team goals
- Conducting regular team meetings to review performance, discuss strategies, and address any challenges
- Conducting 121's and performance reviews to progress the team
- Reviewing and assessing property claims to ensure they are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Providing guidance on complex claims, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations
- Serving as an escalation point for complex claim issues and customer complaints, providing resolution in a professional and timely manner
- Tracking and analyzing team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted action plans
- Preparing and presenting reports on team performance to senior management
- Identifying training needs and facilitating ongoing professional development opportunities for team members
- Collaborating with other departments to streamline claims processing and improve operational efficiency
- Leading initiatives to enhance claims handling procedures and implement new technologies
The successful candidate will have:
- Property Claims experience
- Team support/management experience
- Understanding of property insurance policy wording
- Experience preventing and resolving complaints would be advantageous
- Good IT skills with the ability to use bespoke systems and Microsoft
