Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Property Claims Team Manager to oversee and guide a team of claims handlers and support staff in the efficient and effective handling of property claims. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and will be responsible for:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of claims handlers to meet team goals
  • Conducting regular team meetings to review performance, discuss strategies, and address any challenges
  • Conducting 121's and performance reviews to progress the team
  • Reviewing and assessing property claims to ensure they are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Providing guidance on complex claims, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations
  • Serving as an escalation point for complex claim issues and customer complaints, providing resolution in a professional and timely manner
  • Tracking and analyzing team performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted action plans
  • Preparing and presenting reports on team performance to senior management
  • Identifying training needs and facilitating ongoing professional development opportunities for team members
  • Collaborating with other departments to streamline claims processing and improve operational efficiency
  • Leading initiatives to enhance claims handling procedures and implement new technologies
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Property Claims experience
  • Team support/management experience
  • Understanding of property insurance policy wording
  • Experience preventing and resolving complaints would be advantageous
  • Good IT skills with the ability to use bespoke systems and Microsoft
