Lead Cyber Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct a team of Cyber Security Engineers, ensuring effective management at both operational and strategic levels.
- Design and implement secure asset development and system fortification capabilities, maintaining robust compliance monitoring for our computing and server environments.
- Manage security infrastructure components such as Firewalls and Intrusion Detection/Protection systems, both network and host-based.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify business needs and formulate cyber security engineering strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Responsible for the creation and upkeep of all cyber security engineering documentation, policies, and procedures across all domains.
- Establish long-term controls and processes to ensure that technical debt is tracked and managed within acceptable risk levels.
Location and Working Hours
This position offers a hybrid working model with a standard working pattern of 36 hours per week.

- Knowledge of various operating systems and security measures for diverse technology stacks.
- Proficiency in configuring cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
- Experience securing large-scale server and endpoint deployments in complex infrastructure settings.
- Hands-on expertise with Privileged Access Management tools, including CyberArk, Firewalls, Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure, Sentinel & Defender.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the water utility sector or large, complex infrastructure organizations.
- Relevant security engineering training and/or certifications.
- A degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Annual leave of 26 days, increasing to 30 with length of service, plus bank holidays.
