About the Role:
As a Gas Inspector with Capita's Gas Safe Register, you will play a vital role in ensuring gas safety standards are upheld in the UK. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, reporting, and providing feedback to registered businesses. You will be assigned a portfolio of businesses and will work within set timelines to complete inspections and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections in line with risk models and contractual obligations
- Complete inspections according to industry standards and internal procedures
- Communicate effectively with businesses to ensure rectification of identified defects
- Submit inspection reports within specified timelines
- Take appropriate action in case of unsafe gas work
- Develop strong relationships with businesses and consumers
Requirements:
- Hold ACS certificates including CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1
- Experience with gas appliances and quality control
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and building codes
- Auditor qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Continuous professional development in the industry
- Understanding of gas, plumbing, and electrical installations
- Ability to conduct tests during inspection
