The successful candidate will oversee the despatch team, ensuring that all orders are processed and dispatched according to schedule while managing a diverse workforce of both permanent and temporary staff.
This position requires a hands-on approach, as the coordinator will be expected to engage in warehouse activities to meet operational deadlines when necessary.
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Coordinator:
- Oversee the performance and attendance of warehouse staff, addressing issues related to holidays, sickness, and timekeeping.
- Facilitate training for new hires and provide ongoing development for existing team members.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment.
- Implement and promote best practices in warehouse operations.
- Plan and monitor workload distribution and staff allocation within the warehouse.
- Conduct quality checks on shipments to maintain high delivery accuracy.
- Operate a forklift for loading and unloading tasks as required (training will be provided for qualified candidates).
- Generate Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation for all outgoing shipments.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership. The role operates Monday to Friday, covering a total of 40 hours per week.
