Our IT Business Systems Team: This team is dedicated to ensuring the seamless delivery of essential applications, enabling every Xe employee to perform at their best.

Xe is undergoing an exciting transition to Agile methodologies. Our teams have adopted the Scrum framework, fostering software craftsmanship through chapters and guilds. Most of our repositories are now optimized for rapid container-based deployments with CI/CD pipelines. We seek enthusiastic developers eager to embark on this transformative journey.

Role Overview: In this position, you will engage in an agile development process to deliver and take ownership of a web application that relies on a robust and highly available shared, headless API back-end.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Connect & Achieve: You will play a vital role in the complete software development lifecycle of the Xe Corporate Web application and its supporting services. Your expertise will drive technical design discussions and decisions. Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, and architects to identify the most effective solutions. Be part of a dynamic team that delights millions of users.
  • Team Collaboration: You will mentor and support junior developers through pair programming and code reviews. Actively engage in coding chapters and workshops, continually enhancing your skills and knowledge while focusing on value delivery and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a senior frontend developer with a solid foundation in software architecture, who is proficient in and passionate about crafting engaging and user-friendly web applications.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Expertise in Vue or similar frameworks with experience in web application development.
  • Strong command of TypeScript & JavaScript for writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Good grasp of software architecture and industry best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with PostCSS/SASS/SCSS or comparable CSS technologies for styling and optimizing UI components.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and the ability to collaborate with designers to create visually appealing interfaces.
  • Experience with testing frameworks or libraries.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Vuex or Pinia for state management.
  • Background in backend development using C#, Java, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with unit testing using Vitest or Jest, and knowledge of end-to-end testing frameworks like Playwright and Cypress.
  • Understanding of JavaScript build tools and module bundlers such as Vite/Rollup/Webpack.
  • Experience with Storybook for component-driven development and UI documentation.
  • Additional familiarity with UX/UI design principles and tools.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and effective collaboration with other developers and stakeholders.
