Position Overview

Job Summary
The Camp Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of our diverse holiday childcare programs, while prioritizing the safety and well-being of all participants. We seek passionate and skilled individuals dedicated to our mission of 'Inspiring Children Every Day'.
Your responsibilities will include leading, motivating, and supporting your team to create engaging and enjoyable holiday camps that encourage participation, structure, care, and personal growth. You will oversee the implementation of all policies and procedures, while maintaining communication with parents, school representatives, and the Head Office. In addition to leading activities, you will contribute to the high standards of physical, emotional, and social care provided by Ultimate Activity Camps.
This position is dynamic and rewarding, with the experience of both parents and children relying on your leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly oversee a team of staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and activities expected at Ultimate Activity Camps.
- Motivate your team to provide exceptional activities by demonstrating energy and enthusiasm.
- Ensure compliance with all camp policies and procedures, including health and safety and safeguarding measures. This may involve introducing new protocols to maintain a safe environment for staff and children.
- Conduct Camp Induction Day for your staff prior to the camp's commencement.
- Collaborate with the Early Years Leader to meet Ofsted requirements, engaging directly with inspectors during evaluations.
- Communicate with Head Office regarding updates, inquiries, and any issues that arise throughout the day.
- Serve as the primary contact for parents on-site, addressing any concerns or feedback.
- Coordinate with the Host School representatives to ensure seamless camp operations.
- Manage all administrative tasks on-site, including attendance procedures, registration, staff schedules, and timetable adjustments.
- Facilitate collaboration with staff from other specialized programs to ensure the effective operation of your site.
- Address any challenges that arise in the dynamic environment of a holiday camp.
- Continuously advocate for the welfare of the children in your care, ensuring that childcare services meet the diverse needs of all participants.
- Embody the Ultimate Activity Camp commitment to 'Inspiring Children Every Day' and uphold the company's standards throughout your tenure.
- Exhibit high levels of energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism, serving as a positive role model for both children and staff.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified or pursuing a qualification in childcare, education, or coaching, with substantial experience working with children.
- A natural leader with management experience, preferably in holiday camps, childcare, education, or coaching.
- Strong communication skills, with excellent face-to-face customer service abilities. Candidates should be confident in engaging with parents and school staff.
- Familiarity with camp activities and readiness to provide temporary coverage for groups as needed.
- Effective decision-making skills, capable of quickly assessing situations and making informed choices.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Seeking a challenging yet rewarding position during school holidays, with aspirations for career advancement in childcare, education, or coaching.
Desirable Qualifications
- Possession of a Paediatric First Aid qualification (12-hour or 6-hour).
