We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Charity Shop Manager at Farplace Animal Rescue. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission to raise funds for animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and motivate a team of deputy managers to achieve sales targets and maximize fundraising potential.
- Oversee the sorting and processing of donated items, ensuring high-quality stock is available for sale.
- Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote our charity shop and increase brand awareness.
- Work closely with volunteers to ensure they are engaged and motivated, providing training and support as needed.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, using data to inform business decisions and drive growth.
- Ensure the shop is well-stocked, visually appealing, and meets health and safety standards.
- Manage cash handling, pricing, and stock rotation to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Head Office team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Recruit, train, and develop staff and volunteers to ensure a high-performing team.
- Contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects to drive fundraising and retail growth.
- Proven experience in a retail environment, with a strong track record of sales growth and team management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Confident and proactive approach to maximizing sales opportunities and driving fundraising growth.
- A competitive hourly rate of £11.45-£12.50.
