Job Title: Charity Shop Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Charity Shop Manager at Farplace Animal Rescue. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission to raise funds for animal welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and motivate a team of deputy managers to achieve sales targets and maximize fundraising potential.
  2. Oversee the sorting and processing of donated items, ensuring high-quality stock is available for sale.
  3. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to promote our charity shop and increase brand awareness.
  4. Work closely with volunteers to ensure they are engaged and motivated, providing training and support as needed.
  5. Monitor and report on sales performance, using data to inform business decisions and drive growth.
  6. Ensure the shop is well-stocked, visually appealing, and meets health and safety standards.
  7. Manage cash handling, pricing, and stock rotation to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  8. Collaborate with the Head Office team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  9. Recruit, train, and develop staff and volunteers to ensure a high-performing team.
  10. Contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects to drive fundraising and retail growth.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a retail environment, with a strong track record of sales growth and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident and proactive approach to maximizing sales opportunities and driving fundraising growth.
