Field Service Generator Technician Required

Our client is a prestigious company in the Construction and Industrial machinery sector, specializing in machinery sales, servicing, and parts support.

They are seeking a Field Service Generator Technician due to the expansion of their operations. This role will involve working in the field, primarily covering a designated region.

Successful candidates will deliver on-site customer assistance for a variety of generator machinery, focusing on maintaining optimal performance through regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Field Service Generator Technician Position Overview

  • Engage in both workshop and site-based activities
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Perform repairs and servicing of generators
  • Service and repair related equipment
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues reported by customers
  • Provide service both on-site and off-site
  • Work independently to diagnose and address problems
  • Complete necessary documentation and timesheets promptly
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Adhere to relevant procedures during equipment repairs and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards for personal and work equipment
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Uphold health and safety responsibilities in accordance with company policies

Field Service Generator Technician Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with generators
  • Familiarity with engines, alternators, control panels, and wiring diagrams
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Diagnostic skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Valid Driving License
  • Capability to service a range of plant machinery

Field Service Generator Technician Position Remuneration

Salary: £37,440 - £38,480

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Overtime: Available

Holiday Package: 22 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays

Additional benefits include a company van, mobile device, uniform, and laptop, along with a Death in Service benefit of 3 times the annual salary, a Westfield Cash Back Health Plan, a Cycle to Work Scheme, and sick pay provisions after a specified period of service.
